Aye! Oh! Lay Off The Jersey Shore!
People are getting pretty rilled up about MTV’s newest exploitative fun hour! The Jersey Shore is basically The Real World , but all the housemates are Italian-American, self-proclaimed “guidos” and “guidettes.” They have greasy hair, fake tans, and nicknames! All-and-all, nothing too exciting as far as we’re concerned, but some other folks are in an effin uproar over it! Protesters are calling the show “controversial” and are implementing a boycott.
Go Bruce! Springsteen Stands Up For Marriage Equality!
We love seeing a legendary musician taking a stand for gay rights! Bruce Springsteen has written a letter titled A Brief Statement From Bruce in which Springsteen declares his support for New Jersey’s gay marriage bill! The bill will be voted on by the Senate on Thursday, and the cause sincerely needs all the support it can receive right now.
