Aniston rounded up a group of her famous friends to speak with Assembly Speaker Karen Bass, and their unity against the problem inspired her to write the bill. Specifically, the law allows “for civil penalties against members of the paparazzi and media outlets that sell and buy unlawfully obtained photographs and video footage of people, including celebrities and their families.” The law goes into effect tomorrow
